Dempsey`s Brewey Pub & Restuarant in Watertown

Got off the plane after nine and most restaurants close by 10 but Dempsey's was till 12, it said but the kitchen closes at 10. It was close to 10 when we arrived and only a couple of people but they were friendly and said no problem. Diane ordered the Italian fry, chicken breast pan fried in a Chardonnay cream sauce with mushrooms. I tried the chislic basket with is a SD dish. Chopped up sirloin steak deep fried. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned wonderfully. The steak was very tender the fries were crispy and the slaw was good. Micheala did a great job with the service and we were really happy with the experience. We come in to restaurants occasionally close to closing and it's not unusual for them to rush the meal and items are not cooked correctly but there was none of that here. I look forward to returning.

Food looked AMAZING, unfortunately the taste didn't match it. The Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was bland and warm at best, definitely NOT worth $14 and the calzone was hot but the crust was chewy. I can imagine Gordon Ramsay's reaction eating this food, taking one bite & spitting it out, saying a string of obscenities. However, the homemade creme soda was good! Service was good, the waitress was nice & friendly... although on the "kitchen" side, they need to really step up their game. Overall, 2 stars, both for the waitress.COVID wise, NO ONE wore masks or social distanced. The dining room was packed with people going about their business as if a pandemic was not going on. Natural selection at its finest I see.... 90% of this town is living in a KAREN BUBBLE 🤦🏻‍♀️ Would I recommend this place, NO!

Every time I've gone to Dempsey's, their food has been awesome. Great food, great atmosphere! Don't forget to try their homebrewed root beer and cream soda. It is easily the best.

Great service, Fantastic Pizza. We got the Supreme, Angry Dragon and, a customized Hawaiian style. All great.

We've had varying degrees of service here. A year ago we had to wait a long time for our food. Recently we decided to give Dempsey's another try & we were not disappointed! The pizza was excellent - I can't wait to go back for more! Service was good.

Sat at the bar, ordered the brewery's own light German beer with an orange slice, a ruben and tortilla soup. The beer was more of a refreshing tonic, which I enjoyed. The sandwich had delicious homemade bread, however, the combination of all the flavors from bread, meat, sauerkraut and sauce was not the best. The sandwich was more palatable when dipped in my soup. I sampled the brewery's pale ale and a lager, both were flat and neither of which I enjoyed. The homemade root beer I sampled was good.I was told that the pizza was award winning maybe I'll get that next time.

Nice brew pub with a Irish theme. Beers were good., food was average. The service from Sam was excellent. Their know for their award winning pizzas, this is what I should have had.

Frisco burger was really good, really cool theme to the whole place.

Great food great atmosphere

Sat at the bar and had excellent service and got great info from the bartender. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Spinach Dip and the Green Haven pizza. The spinach dip with house made naan was some of the best we've ever had.

What an amazing first experience. You have to try the Le' Champion pizza. My second time I had the prime rib dip and the best French dip I've ever had. Great atmosphere.

What a neat atmosphere with great food! The atmosphere is similar to an Irish pub with an inviting atmosphere and eccentric but interesting decor. THE FOOD is also delicious. While I have been going there they have already changed their menu twice which is great for variety. I have enjoyed all the food I have ordered there. Try the brewed on site root beer as well if you get the chance.

I am from the east coast ,and we have some of the best pizzas around, I have been to almost every state, and I definitely have to say your pizza definitely took me by surprise, it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had ,the crust perfect, the sauce perfect, and the toppings fresh and cooked to perfection, and the seasonings bam .ty you for a wonderful change, when you thought you've had the best ,stop in ,I hope your as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Great food and good atmosphere. Not so bad of a brewery for being in the middle of nowhere South Dakota. A little ways off the interstate but if you're visiting Watertown South Dakota I definitely stop by and try some of their beers.

Dempsey's head pizza maker, Sean, is nationally recognized and has many top finishes in competitions around the nation. I think a stop at Dempsey's is a must if you're in Watertown. They have a great beer selection that they brew. Everything is reasonably priced (15 inch = $18). They also have great options for people who aren't looking for pizza. I've always had good service.

We stop everytime we are in town for the pizza and rootbeer!

The pub energy is so pure here and the pizzas always come out perfectly. A+ work guys

If you like restaurants in old buildings this is the place for you. Was not super busy over lunch hour. Very, very good homestyle cooking. Will definitely be back!

Excellent spinach artichoke dip!!! Food was good, Blonde beer was great. However we couldn’t tell if it was an Irish or Scottish bar?!?!

Maybe the best prime rib I've ever had. Smoked is absolutely the way to go... It was a little over cooked but it was the end of the night so it wasn't a problem. Flavor made it worth it!! Cup of jambalia was TOP NOTCH. My mom had the French dip and said it was delicious!

Phenomenal restaurant that makes you feel like you’re in Austria. I highly recommend trying the Wienerschnitzel and Spaetzle. Your tastebuds will be highly satisfied!

The experience started off great. We got our orders in and the food came out quickly. The food was very tasty. I ordered a beer, which took about 15 minutes to get to the table. Waited for another half hour before the waitress came back to get our check and a few beers to take home. The cans of beer were flat. To top it off, the men's room was the dirtiest restroom I have ever seen, including rest stops and campsite facilities. We won't be coming back.

Best bartender, WORST wait staff/ management team. Beyond disappointed every visit.

Food was delicious, just like the place.

This is one of the " go to" places to eat in Watertown. I'm not a drinker so I can't comment on their custom Brew's. But the food is always superb.Currently they have every table 6' apart for the covid-19 safety stuff so it's comfortable to go and eat there.

Beautiful as ever! Feel like I took a trip to the past! There needs to be more places like this in life! You actually get a taste of 'home'. Made me miss and almost cry eating food that made me think of my grandparents!

I didn't realize this place had the nation's best pizza. For real. Each pizza is born fresh in the womb of a brick oven goddess. Don't pass this place up!

Everything was great! Food, atmosphere, wait staff, bartender! Had the Schnitzel, it was delicious! Asked bartender about specific beer, he was spot-on with what I wanted! Have definitely found my new go-to restaurant in Watertown! Kudos to Adam and Amy!

Absolutely fantastic place to go with family or friends. Tried a few "kamikaze cocktails" which is the bartender's choice. I was not disappointed. Each one was unique and tasty. Can't wait for the next time I'm in town.

Best fries of my life, turkey cranberry sandwich is heavenly, buffalo soldier pizza is amazing with a crust that has the perfect zing! Wonderful service and atmosphere 10/10 would recomend
